At the beginning I thought it would be dumb because I hate reading newspaper, but in fact its on of the most interesting things I've ever picked up, and kept reading! It covers Global issues and has it own coverage of nothing but media related topics (I mean hello, it is a newspaper!) But besides from news, It covers the oddest things that are completely interesting and educating. For example, I learned that there is a different between a bobcat and puma all because it was a story in WSJ covering wild Cougars in . I had no idea of this before and neither did anyone in my class. The article no focus of the differences but of the wildness. By being tested in class it made read up on why would it even matter the difference, their All cats with tails and I knew none of them from the others. The lesson was learning the differences and being able to distinguish their habitat all by the locations of fellow species. If we were reading a textbook this wouldn't be knowledgeable because it would probably only cover the differences of them, never the news of them being wild in different regions of the US and how homeowners are assuming one for the other. By such a huge transition, of almost never reading the newspaper, to becoming one of millions or subscribers of the most sold paper in the country, was a brilliant learning experience. I plan on renewing my subscription just to continue educating myself. I also plan on passing forward this idea.

N. The beginning of the movie begins with the father's memory of the night when they began to fill the tub. I remember this scene in the beginning of the book but I think it's introduced in the movie quite early. The movie paints a great image of the book. The details are expressed almost exactly as they are presnted in the book. The idea of a disaster looks great, far more than I could've ever imagined. It's also not said what happened to civilization in the movie or in the book, but the it is very clear what ever it was destroyed, not only a nation but the world. Also the movie show things that never were seen in the book like affection. In the book, for example, the father commentates negatively on anyone they meet in their paths, like he wants them to have nothing to do with his son; But in the film you can see the emotional and facial expressions of what he means. The other affection I could see in the film but in the book was the idea of the boy holding on to his mother's cap, wearing it daily after she leaves. I believed I liked the book better because it gives my more to think about and gives me opportunity to imagine my own scenes.

N. I use Facebook more than any other social-networking service because I can reenact with old classmates from years ago. For example, when I was in grade school I became close friends with a girl who ended up moving to new York and since we weren't old enough to pay phone bills we never spoke agin. Thanks to Facebook we've linked back up. I love how I can also meet new people to network for a future day. As for paying to use Facebook, I would pay nothing more than $12.00 a year, maximum because my pride wouldn't let me just stop existing to others, I mean HELLO, this is what keeps me smiling when I get bored at school or work. But if it was an outrageous price, like $60.00 for a boxing match, yeah right. Push comes to shove, I would never commit Facebook as a debt in my budget!

N. From Celebrity gossip to the latest trends, is all that keeps a magazine in my hands. As for movies, the biggest viewing habit I have, is buying a ticket for something that has a crappy trialer and unknown actors. Magazines are always good for fashion. They illustrate the "what's in" and "Out-dated" fashion trends for the current season. It makes my life easy to get Name brand products without paying a bundle out of pocket. Another thing I love about magazines is the latest tabloids, seeking the dirt on the stars. Besides having my nose in their business, I can see things like them having bad hair days of ordinary things I experience in counter their life too. Movies on the other hand annoy me. They're so stupid now a days. It's always the same, A follow up to a movie with a sequel, children's attention, bloody masacre, or something that degrade the african american heritage, like Good Hair, which was inspired by a comedian and demonstrates the process of african american women receiving hair extentions. I don't mean to be nasty, but somethings should be at viewers discretion or evaluated before released in senses of pro's and con's of material. I congradulate Mr. Rock on any of his success, just keep me out of it.

N. Don't spend time, wasting time, it earns you nothing. Everyone needs to take the time and look around at how far we've come. We have opportunities now that never even existed. Being on track is the path to everything. If you don't attempt nothing, you'll get nothing. Parents take the time out to encourage your kids. Get involved in their life and know what their doing. Anybody can have a baby, but it's time to start raising young men and women. There's controversy over the Presidens speech and there shouldn't be.Obama's the PRESIDENT for God's sakes, more like the overseer of the nation and that's how you pay him respect? He's promoting motivating your children to do more than just be born but be a somebody and succed in your dreams. With all of his responsibilities you peolple get mad about advice from someone who's accomplished something that many of us may never come near in our career. I'm confused did you want him to encourage the drop out rate or decrease funds for furthering education? I believe the people ( The Conservatives) are just overwhelmed and upset that an intelligent, liberal, african american is advising their children to be be like him, sUCCESSFUL!!!!!

N.
